The Dale Chihuly permanent installation is on display at Tacoma Art Museum, Washington.
This permanent display of glass artworks by Tacoma native Dale Chihuly is the premier collection of the artist’s work on public long-term display. The collection dates from 1977 to the present and features examples from many of the artist’s major series, including Baskets, Sea Forms, Cylinders, Macchia, Persians, Niijima Floats, and Venetians. 
There are 110 individual pieces in the collection. Nearly all of the works were gifted to the museum’s permanent collection by Dale Chihuly in honor of his parents, Viola and George, and his brother, George W. Chihuly
Born, September 20, 1941 in Tacoma, Washington, Chihuly graduated from high school in Tacoma. He attended College of the Puget Sound (now University of Puget Sound) in 1959.

Dale Chihuly donated a retrospective collection of glass in honor of his parents, Viola and George, and his brother, George W. Chihuly. Approximately forty of these works are featured in a long-term installation in the museum.
