Local logger Philip F Blakeslee, of 30 years, who uses the pen name of Philip Leacy, is making his dream of being an author come true.
According to Philip's blog site (http://www.freewebs.com/pleacy/blog.htm) "I was a bookworm at an early age and also became a logger at an early age. That I did for 30 years. I always wanted to be a writer but never had the time".
His current book The Witchcult of Longbranch:One Hundred Years of Twisted History is a story about the first settlement of a small peninsula not to far from Tacoma.
The Witchcult of Longbranch is three stories that span a hundred years and as the author describes "It is Born out of myths, legends, and floklore. A dark fantasy, fiction, sc-fi. with a good moral message".
Philips book can be found at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Borders books.
Philip will be making an apperance on Saturday Februay 21st from noon to three at Park Avenue Books which is located at 8304 S Park Ave.
Philip will be on hand to sell and autograph his book.
