Police responded to the scene of a pharmacy robbery at the Top Food & Drug off Union Street in Tacoma Wednesday. The robbery was called in just after noon, according to Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum.

The robber presented a note that implied he had a gun, but none was seen.

Officers initially believed the suspect was still inside and did not let anyone enter the store. Some employees had been evacuated.

A Puyallup police K-9 dog was dispatched to the scene. The dog searched the store but the suspect was not located. Shoppers were permitted to go into the store again.
